Best Cakes in Brisbane
I thought I would share with you some of my favourite and in my opinon the best places for cake in Brisbane. As you know I have a huge sweet tooth and although I love to cook there are times when you want something extra special. So if you are looking for a cake for a special occasion or just because check out the suppliers on the list below.
The Welsh Lady

If someone has a birthday at work I always pick up a cake from the Welsh Lady. Partly because her shop is on my way to the office but mostly for the fact that she makes the most amazingly flavourful cakes. My favourite would have to be the Chocolate Mousse Cake but I also love the Hummingbird Cake and Raspberry Cheesecake.
Her website has a full listing of the cakes available. She will also custom design wedding cakes and her store is full of photos of the most beautiful wedding cakes.
Cake That!
Now I have to admit I only just stumbled across this supplier but my god the cakes look so beautiful and the photo gallery of designs is truly amazing. Also in March 2007 she was hailed by the Courier Mail as being the Brisbane Cake Queen.

Chouquette

When your in the mood for something less extravagant but nonetheless amazing head over to Chouquette in New Farm. Every time I enter this tiny store I find it hard to leave without purchasing a lot more than I intended. The cakes are beautifully presented and the taste is amazing. My picks are the Tarte au Citron, Almond Croissants and the Paris Breast.
Chouquette is located at Shop 1 19 Barker St New Farm.
Cream Patisserie
Cream Patisserie is located in Coorparoo. Its been a while since I have visited Cream, partly because they are located on the other side of town but mainly because I tend to frequent Chouquette which is much closer. They offer a large array of individual and larger cakes that are beautifully presented and taste superb.
Cream Patisserie is located at Shop 3 380 Cavendish Rd Coorparoo.
